Question: g5rao72c-12 buners go on and off several times before heater stays on.If therostat fan switch is turned to on instead of auto heater stays on.It then can be switched back to auto.In auto position fan fails to turn on when heater initialy turns on.

Answer: We have a Carrier furnace -- last October we had the blower replace, the gas value replace with a 183 gas value and circuit board replace. We have noticed a different sound -- when we investigated, it appears that the pilot keeps trying to light (about 4 or 5 times) and then the gas jets finally start. Everything seems to run fine then. The house warms and the blower works, but we're not sure why we have this change -- is this just something that we never noticed before?
