Furnace Motor Running Forever

Question: Hello, My forced air furnace is wokring fine while running cool air through A/C or heating mode but, once the desired heat is reached, I expect the furnace to remain quiet, instead a motor in the furnace is humming with lot of noice. Please, tell me how to stop the motor. Is this motor running because there is a humidifier and the motor is running for ever to humidify the home at 70 degree F set thermostat! Please, let me knkow.
