Title of Question:

Gravity Furnace

Name: paul  City:

Question: I have a gravity furnace and am trying to light the pilot. However when I light it, it just goes out. I am holding down the button on the valve right before the B60, and continue holding it for a few minutes but as soon as I let go pilot goes out. Any suggestions?

Answer: Read the directions on the side of the furnace. Likely you are holding down the button that connects to the main valve to the furnace. The pilot light needs to be lit before pushing the button on my furnace. My furnace has a seperate valve for the pilot light. You might want to try turning that on and then lighting it.
