Ignition Problem

Question: Our furnace ignition tries about 3 or 4 times before it finally starts, then the system works fine -- why and what should be done if anything?

Answer: We have the same problem and it is getting worse. Two yers ago I had a service guy out to my house and he replaced the ignition swith and said that it would have to be replaced every year or two. Now I am trying to figure out why it has to be replaced so often and if the man was ripping me off or not.
