Answer: Lets see. If the unit is say 10 years old. Im sure its older. Has a cracked heat exchanger and you want to put one in that will carry only 1 year warranty from most places. Into a unit that has been running for 10 years plus. What else do you think can go wrong with it. Fan motor, Control boards, oil injectoors, rust. Its not a classic car your not going to get your money out of it when your ready to sell it. You however will be sinking it into a money pit with no warranty on it. You choose. Headache with empty wallet. Or no headache with empty wallet :) but it only empties it once.
