Question: hi are my current attic joists strong enough to support a bedroom floor, they are 2x5. thanks scott

Answer: No. Most city codes require at least 2X10 for floor joists that extend 15 feet. Greater than that, use 2X12 or a center support beam which may be difficult in an attic
