Title of Question:

Pool Pump

Name: jrull@jcpenney.com  City:

Question: There is a leak between the motor and the pump. I disconnected the motor and pump to inspect. After inspecting and cleaning I put it back together, the motor works but it won't pump water like it normally do. Do I need to do something for the pump to work? This is the first that I openned the connection from the motor to the pump. Please advise. Thanks.

Answer: You don't say what make/model of pump it is.Regardless, you'll need to replace the shaft seal and all (usually 2 or 3)gaskets/O-rings. After you re-assemble it, fill the pump basket with water before firing it up. (acerjm@hotmail.com)
