Attic

Question: In my attic I have a plywood wall ( 16 pc studs) at a 45 degree angle. It basically cuts the attic ih half. About 2 feet above the floor the plywwos stop so i can crawl through the other side. Theis wall is not the out side roof. Can I cut this wall ( not me a contractor) and crate a doorway between both halfs of the attic.
