Bad Smell In House-No One Knows-Please Help!

Question: We have a moth ball/chlorine/bleach type smell in our house (since last Friday). It's noticeable on the first floor, but strongest in the basement and at the front door. No one seems to know what it could be or who I can contact to check it out. I even called my city's dept. of environmental health (no help there). We have city sewer and water, forced hot water, natural gas, no pool. Please help! Thanks!

Answer: Hi. I was just wondering if you found the answer to your question. I own a home in Newfield and am having the same problem. But mine has lasted now for almost a year. I have since moved and am trying to sell. Called the Zone officer and he can find no mold or anything. If you know anything, can you please pass it along? Thanks. Liz
