Front Door Sticks To The Magnetic Strip Too Well

Question: I have a metal front door and a magnet strip on the frame. After repainting the door, and allowing to to dry completely, it sticks too well to the magnetic strip now. I assume there is a high metal content in the new paint, anyone have ideas on how to deal with this? I am considereing paitning the magnetic strip with another kind of paint to give a better buffer, anyone have ideas?

Answer: There ain't no metal in paint. Reduce the size of your magnetic strip.
