Small ornamental pine branch repair

Question: My 3 year old 2.5 foot Chinese Lace Bark Pine lost a branch to the snow/ice. The branch that broke is nearly as big as the rest of the tree. Can I re-attach this? It broke right along the main trunk. Help!
