Toilet Bowl Water Level Low

Question: after flushing tank refills properly but toilet bowl water level stays low.used to come up about half way before,why doesn't it come up higher?

Answer: Inside your tank is a small 1/4" diameter hose that connects from the fill valve and should terminate at the top of the overflow tube in the center of the tank....This tube fills the bowl with water and if it is disconnected or placed improperly the water will not raise to the proper level.
