Looking To Buy A House With Pool And No Co

Question: I am looking at a house that is for sale that has an inground pool, but there is no CO for it. I was curious what this will effect, and if it is possible to get a CO when the pool has been there for a while. The current owner bought the house with the pol and no CO as well.
