Air Conditioner Keeps Freezing

Question: My air conditioner runs for a while (about a day) then I notice the house is no longer cooling and the unit has ice in it? It was just serviced, any ideas? I thought it was turned to low but it is quite high now and still doing it.

Answer: just last year it was traced for leaks and filled with coolant, but my boyfriend is not big on changing the air filter could this be it? Also the thermostat has always been about 5 degrees off ex: if you want the house at 22 degrees (c) then you must turn the temp to 26 degrees. (same winter or summer)
