Question: My brick chimney is constructed on the side of my house in the middle of the pitch, so the roof does not completely surround the chimney. When it rains, water has a tendency to run to the chimney, hit the flashing and then run down the side of the house which is causing rot issues with the siding and trim work. Is there a way to divert the water when it hits the chimney down the roof to the gutters rather than down the side of my house.
