Title of Question:

Metal Roofing/Condensation Joined To Flat Roof

Name: Kan  City: Niagara Falls, Ontario

Question: I had a metal roof installed on a low slope roof 3 yrs. ago. It has popped drip leaks since day 1. I do not have an attic. Celings are cathedral, painted tongue & grove cedar, The new steel roof system is on top of that. The low slope joins to flat. Where flat meets slope, rough install job, complained, roofer came, smashed ice up about 2 weeks ago to check (hubby strongly suggested not to that in fear of ripping the flat roof), to late, now water is pouring in about 4inches to 1.5 feet up the low slope near flat.My son's bedroom and our home office are getting damaged and it smells. Installer on the phone, keeps cancelling appointment and is suggesting condensation. I have a feeling the steel roof is not compatible with our house and I think they damaged the flat roof poking around 2 weeks ago. It's acting like severe ice daming. Any comments.Suggestions. I have a ton of photo's if that helps. Signed Desperate Mom
