Repairing Roof Damage

Question: This is a mfg home 10 yrs old. roff shingles look to be in excepionally good condition. there is severe leaking that is apparently coming from the valley on one or both side of the dormer. there is also a dip in the decking on one side of the dormer next to the valley. We have taken shingles off from the peak of the dormerdown to the valley with the problem and acroos to include the area where the decking is dipping. Our intention is to replace the bad decking and then put new felt paper. the question is : How do we secure the new felt paper under the existing shingles on the good part of the roof and how do we apply the new shingles to blend in with the original singles without having to re roof the entire front half of the mfg home. Or , in this situation, Is it necessary that we re roof the whole front half of the roof becuase of the repair ?
