Question: I have 2 satellite dishes on my roof. They are routed through 2 sw-21 switches. I recently lost reception of my main dish on one of my receivers. I thought it was a 21 switch that went bad, but I hooked the dish up direct to the receiver and I am only getting satellite 119 (odd) not even and no 110. Don't know what is goint on?

Answer: There are a couple possible issues, one is that the 110 LNB is not fully connected, or the end has failed. Also the 110 LNB could be bad and the 119 is fine. Wouldn't be the first time an LNB went bad on one side. Another possible issue is alignment of the dish. You could be all over the 119 and not even see the 110. Most of the time this is from poor alignment of the dish, and the hold down bolts not being properly torqued. However, since you describe a basic issue and arent specific to what you may have done especially since you bypassed the switch in place it could be other things as well. Most likely though, is a poor alignment of the system, and you're not picking up the 110 at all or a bad 110 end at the cable, to the LNB.
