Title of Question:

Dvd And Htdv

Name: Benleon  City: Greenwich, Ct

Question: I can't seem to get good quality from the DVD player in my new HDTV monitor. The cable HDTV is excellent. The manufacturer says it has to do with my old DVD player. Is that true?

Answer: Could be. Could also be the type of inputs you're exporting your DVD image from. If it's just an RCA cable, it'll look pretty sad. If it's just a regular cable jumper, it'll look just as sad because it's translating your output from the dvd to a standard resolution picture. If you're using Component cable and still have a cruddy image, then you do have a problem with the player, or you have your set configured wrong. You'll have to do some trouble shooting to find out.
