Question: My brick house has some small cracks in the mortar joints. The bricks have never been painted, but I want to paint it and am thinking I should deal with the cracks first. I found some sort of caulk type stuff for masonary repair at Home Depot, and am curious if that is an OK way to fill them, or if I'd be better off in the long run tuck pointing mortar into the cracks. Using the caulk type stuff seems like it would be easier, will I regret it down the road?
