New Tile Patio & Wood Siding

Name: Larry  City: Jacksonville

Question: New tile patio installed, but in some sections it is in contact with and some areas above the wood exterior siding. The ttle man wants to use vulcem on the perimeter to waterproof. I am concerned about having the wood siding in contact with the tile that would result in premature rot, and not look so good either. Any suggesetioins?
