Wooden Siding Installation

Question: Can I hang wood (cypress) siding when both the atmosphere and wood is damp, without experiencing mildew or rot problems down the road. I am hanging cypress, bevelled siding (6") over Tyvek. The boards have been totally primed (front and back).
