Answer: Try to put it on as smooth as possible. Also you can wet sand,by using a wet sponge

Answer: Plaster is not used anymore execpt to repair previously plastered walls in older homes, bldgs etc. I have been in the paint business for 26yrs,and I've found that there is an "art" to sheetrock finishing, and it is HARD work if you don't know what you are doing. Get a new home builder to recommend one for you. Advise: If you have had the expense of having new drywall installed, and I would imagine you have had other work contracted out,please...hire a sheetrock finisher to do this for you. You are in for more work than tou can imagine if you tackle it yourself. Up to you though. Gregg Moore
