Question: I have a very old house with plaster walls. I have tried to repair cracks and imperfections. I've cleaned away loose debre. I apply the first and second layers of plaster. When i come back to finish the plaster has a air bubbles and is separating from underlaying layers. Then I have to scrape it all off. It just peels right off in sheets. HELP?

Answer: Simplest method to correct is to screw 1/4" drywall directly over the existing plaster walls...Then sand, prime, paint and finish.
