As with washers, most repairs to your dryer, such as replacing the thermostat, support roller, ignition, drum belt or other key elements that tend to wear out with time, should be left to a professional. Hiring one who has experience and knowledge of your brand is best.

Before you call, though, why not see if you can maybe fix the problem yourself. There are many troubleshooting techniques that you can try. You may just save yourself some money in the process. But restrain yourself from poking around too much. You could cause more damage and end up having to pay more for the repairs.
