If you’re reading this blog right now, I’m going to take a big leap of logic and assume that you’ve got a house. Or at least live in a house. Or live in some sort of home-like space that needs to be repaired or otherwise worked on from time to time.

I know. I’m smart like that.

When you spend time improving your home-like space, eventually you do some work to it that you just know is really beautiful and special. I hope that you can look at some portion of your space and think to yourself, “I can’t believe I pulled that off. That looks really cool.”

I’m going to take another big leap of logic and assume you’re just dying to share your beautiful,  special space with the world. Now is your chance to do just that – and maybe earn some money for your next project in the process!

Contest #1: – Best Home Improvement Projects

Here’s the skinny. Just upload before-and-after shots of your prized home improvement project to’s Share Your Project feature. Visitors to the site will vote for their favorite project in 17 categories and for the overall grand prize winner.

Enter as soon as possible to maximize your votes and you could win a $100 Home Depot gift card or even the $1,000 grand prize.

Contest #2: Old House Blogger Contest

Old house lovers, you know who you are. I’m not talking about “old house” as defined in the Phoenix area, where anything built more than 10 years ago is considered of possible historic value. I love my home in suburban Phoenix, but this would not be the contest for me.

Anyway, if you love old houses and blogging, the Old House Blogger Contest is for you. Simply submit an “old house”-related post from your own blog and you could win a $250 Lowe’s gift card, plus the chance to write for – and get paid for it.

Good luck … hopefully you’ll win enough to get you started on the next beautiful, special home improvement project!
