Swimming Pool Glossary: Balanced Water

It is important to have accurately balanced water in your swimming pool. In order to have a balance there must be a correct ratio of pH level and mineral content in the water. To ensure this, check the pH level, calcium hardness, and total akalinity of your pool's water. Properly balanced water will allow sanitizers and chlorine to work more efficiently. It will also help to stop metal equipment from corroding or rusting. Balanced water also prevents scale from forming in your pool. Scale can result in murky water, discoloured surfaces, and damage to pool instruments. A balanced pool will also provide a much more comfortable environment for swimmers to enjoy.
