Dining Room Disaster

Several years ago, in my first house, I took on the task of renovating the Dining Room. The outdated carpet, dark paneling and carriage wheel lamp needed to go. I wanted something that would compliment the rest of the house; which I had painstakenly upgraded from 1970s kitch to modern cottage.
This project included tearing out everything, including knocking-down a wall; which allowed me to gain a desk alcove and much needed storage space. With the help of my family, we turned this disaster into a tranquil space to welcome visitors and enjoy a meal.
