Although we knew that kitchen renovations take a lot of time and money, this project was truly worth it. The old cabinets were built from plywood and were painted various shades of school-bus yellow, and a handful were a nasty shade of booger-green. The single light in the center of the room created shadows more then offering light to those trying to prepare a meal. And the carpet (yes, there was carpet in the kitchen) was so old that the foam underneath had disingrated and now allowed anyone who dared walk on it to an event that could be compared to shuffling in sand.
With a full demo of the kitchen, we created new workspaces, installed brand-new cabinetry, hardwood floors and painted the walls a shade of lavendar; which while unconvential worked with the decor.
