A Garden brought to Life

One look at the backyard would have scared away many potential home-buyers, as the debris from several trees; which had fallen months prior were still there, the patio was covered in weeds nearly three feet tall and critters of all kinds had moved in.
I hired a company to come out and remove the tree debris; but the rest was up to me. With my family's help we slowly made some headway. We moved the concrete patio set, cleared the brush that had overwhelmed what we now saw was a brick patio. Tearing out the timber beds that surrounded this area, we expanded and poured a short concrete wall which would give the surrounding landscape the support it needed; plus giving us an area to build a garden. We then constructed a patio a few feet away and painstakenly moved the brick to its new location. My Dad built the flower beds and this year I was able to bring my first harvest to the table.
While this is just the start of what lies ahead, I now have a place to garden and entertain guests.
