Living in a 100+ year old home, one can imagine the plumbing problems that are possible. We knew during the inspection that the main stack needed to be replaced; but were unaware of all that was needed to be done in the rest of the house.
Luckily enough, my mother works for a plumbing company so we scheduled a time for them to come out and give us a better idea of what needed to be overhauled.
As expected, most everything was out of date or not up to code. They did an amazing job and took care of the entire list. We were completely at awe when they were able to install a vent line from the kitchen sink, into the wall, up through the second story and out the roof with only a small 6" hole to guide them. In a new home, that would be a feat; but in an old home, one is never sure what is behind the plaster and lathe.
My home is now up to code and online. Now, if I can only see about renovating the bathroom.
