Home Building Timeline

How long does it take to build a new home? Well, naturally there are a lot of variables, but the most important thing to keep in mind is no matter how long it takes, do not rush it. Sure, if you were a Ukrainian pioneer trying to build a hut out of sticks and straw in a valiant attempt to fend off the cruel unforgiving winter of the prairies, you'd probably want to get it done as soon as possible. However, modern homebuilders have a little more flexibility.

The size of the house, number of workers and weather conditions will all have an effect on your home building timeline. Generally it takes six months to a year. The model presented here is a seven-month guide. It should give you a good idea of what to expect.
