There Will Always Be Another House
Take
It And Run: Ilyce's Corner
By Ilyce Glink for Right at Home Daily
In a hot market, you might feel a tremendous
amount of pressure to buy the first, somewhat reasonable house you see.
But before you make that offer, look around.
Often, it's not the agent who's pressuring you, rather it's self-inflicted pressure.
Some homebuyers may think, "If I don't buy this house, there'll never
be another."
The truth is, there will always be another house.
Every year, more than 4.5 million homes are sold. Every, at least, two or three
homes sell on my block. In the past six years, two of the houses on my block
have sold twice each. This is true for most neighborhoods.
Houses come on and off the market at all times
of the year. While you may have a dry stretch, in which you don't see anything
you like, don't compromise. The right house is just around the corner.
